It is unique and refreshing, and I felt like I sort of "knew" you as much as one blogger can know another that she's never met. Times then were different. The environment was a lot less harsh. I think a compromise temperature that’s a little higher than 85 degrees wouldn’t exactly be remiss, considering how much hotter it is these days than back then. As long as your house is not cooler than necessary, then I think using your air conditioner in your circumstances is just fine.Launce Newlovehttp://www.harrisaireserv.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4764223022607739789.post-71128944543799798802012-07-07T22:46:12.808-05:002012-07-07T22:46:12.808-05:00I know I'm commenting on a 2 year old post her...I know I'm commenting on a 2 year old post here, but hey, if I'm reading through your whole blog now, surely others are too.

Anyways, growing up in Chicago, we didn't have A/C and would sleep in the basement during hot summers. It was deliciously cool.

Of course, we now live in Houston, and there's no living down here without A/C. Its always 95%+ humidity and 100+ temps every summer. And that 100+ doesn't even count the heat index.

I spent a few years in Atlanta. We got our canvas from Bear Creek Canvas (http://www.bearcreekcanvas.com). They are super friendly and already have more common models in stock. Plus, you don't have to order the entire top - you have the option of buying just a portion (i.e. a single bunk-end) if that's what you need.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06508984460309691709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4764223022607739789.post-1124011350954598762012-02-18T16:24:24.840-06:002012-02-18T16:24:24.840-06:00Oh, where did you order your new canvas from? It's functional, but really ought to be replaced as well.

I absolutely LOVE our pop-up. We can drive it into most campsites, unlike a real camper. One of our favorite camping spots is a rustic site up in the UP of Michigan.

We still get a LOT of dirt into the pop-up, but I keep a broom handy and we make sure to check out feet before we climb up into the bunks. :)kariwhitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06208108715229081779noreply@blogger.com
